A Busy March at the Sewing Table
The olive and dusty blue linen zipper bag sets in all four sizes, finished with YKK zippers and suede leather pulls.
March has been a full month, and it feels good to sit down and share what I’ve been working on.
I skipped February. I wasn’t feeling well and needed to step back for a bit. Sometimes that’s just how it goes, and I’ve learned to be okay with it. But the time away made me eager to get back to my sewing table, and once I did, things started moving quickly.
If you read my January post, you know I spent the beginning of the year clearing out my workspace. I have a small sewing area in my house and it doesn’t take long for fabric and supplies to pile up. That declutter gave me the space I needed to start fresh, and March ended up being the month where everything came together.
I restocked my olive linen zipper bags and pouches in all four of my regular sizes.
These had been out of the shop for a while and I know some of you were waiting on them. Each one is made with a YKK zipper, a suede pull, and a cream cotton lining, the same finishing details I use across all of my handmade linen pouches.
I also introduced dusty blue linen in my regular pouch sizes for the first time.
I had made dusty blue in boxy pouches before, but never in the full set. It’s a color I really love, and seeing it in the zipper pouches and coin pouches felt like it finally found its place.
This month I also released a quilted double gauze collection that is close to my heart. El Último Jardín has a warm, earthy feel with small desert flowers and trailing vines in muted terracotta and sage on a soft cream double gauze. It’s available in all four of my regular sizes, from the large zipper bag down to the coin pouch.
Next week I’ll be releasing another double gauze collection called Flor de Tierra y Cielo. It features terracotta and light blue flowers, and it will also be quilted and available in my regular pouch sizes. Both collection names come from my Mexican heritage, and there is something about naming a collection in Spanish that makes it feel more personal to me.
If you’ve been looking for a handmade zipper pouch for everyday essentials, or something small and thoughtful for a gift, any of these collections would be a great place to start. You can shop the full collection here.
Looking ahead, I’m also working on something a lot of you have been asking about. Quilted linen pouches in my regular sizes. I’m excited to start on those and will share more as they come together.
If you want to be the first to know when Flor de Tierra y Cielo and the quilted linen pouches drop, make sure you’re signed up for my email list so you don’t miss it.
Thank you for being here and for your patience while I took a quiet February. It means more than you know.
