Slow Mornings and a New Collection

June has felt different this year. The boys are home from school for the summer, and there's been something really nice about it. Slow mornings, coffee over breakfast, time that isn't rushed. No hurrying out the door. Just space to be.

In that quiet, I found myself ordering fabric from a small shop on Etsy that ships from Poland. The moment it arrived, I knew.

This is my third time working with double gauze now, and I loved how the last collections turned out. I wanted to keep exploring what this fabric could do. Morning Mist felt like the right next one.

I've been intentional with what I'm making. Small boxy pouch, zipper pouch, and coin pouch. Just these three. I went with a crosshatch quilting instead of the vertical lines I used last time. With a print this dense, the crosshatch feels like it's cradling the flowers, giving them space to breathe and settle.

I'm also introducing a new size for my small boxy pouch. I wasn't completely happy with the old one, so I found a pattern with proportions that felt right to me. Seven inches wide, three inches tall, and two inches deep. It's a size I'm excited about.

This summer, you'll also see more oat and olive, the colors that have become my anchors. Cornfield is back after being away for a while, warm and golden, like the fields themselves. Plus more dusty blue, which has become a summer favorite.

Oat, olive, dusty blue, and Cornfield will all have lining options, either solid cream or a printed floral.
